The importance of cooking in the firehouse was evident early on in AJ’s career so he decided to start a firehouse cooking blog called Fork and Hose Co., with the hopes of sharing his own recipes with friends and family. The blog grew quickly to where it is today, sharing meals and recipes from firehouses all over the world!
AJ’s passion for food didn’t stop in the firehouse. To help further his culinary skills, he enrolled in the International Culinary Center in Manhattan, where he graduated Top of the Class. Immediately after, AJ began working as a line cook at White Gold Butchers on the Upper West Side, where he currently works as a butcher’s apprentice.
